Volunteers Tutor In-Service Training Modules
Literacy
Volunteers of the Lowcountry is offering their trained tutors
the opportunity to hone their skills and be recertified as
tutors by completing training modules via the Internet. More
modules will be added in the future, so check back here often
to keep up with the latest learning opportunities.

This module is suitable for any LVL tutor but particularly
relevant to those working with students who want have the
GED as a long-term goal.

is suitable for tutors working with basic literacy students
as well as those who work with ESOL students.

to help tutors and teachers plan effective, real-world lessons
for their adult students.

ProLiteracy
America and Verizon have teamed up to provide literacy resources
to affiliates and individuals who are interested in working
toward a more literacy society. Click

and choose one of the following courses listed under "Courses
for Existing Volunteers". Any of these courses will
count towards your tutor recertification.

these courses are self-paced and take either 30 or 45 minutes
to complete. The courses are free, but require you to complete
a quick registration.
