Several LVL programs recently held year-end celebrations to recognize the hard work and progress made by students.

On Tuesday, April 20, twenty-six LVL students, staff and family members gathered at the Beaufort Learning Center to celebrate their successes, receive certificates and eat delicious Vietnamese and Latin American food! Pictured above are the 10 students that were present.

 

Learn to Earn Student Darla Pierce receives National Pharmacy Technician Certification

 

Darla Pierce prepared for national certification as a Pharmacy Technician by enrolling in the computer-based “Learn to Earn” program at Literacy Volunteers of the Lowcountry and by working with a volunteer math tutor, Shirley Holt, at the LVL offices. Darla recently passed the certification exam with a 95% score!


 LVL Student Soledad Aquino Receives US Citizenship

Soledad Aquino in Charleston getting her citizenship certificate. She received it on August 16th 2010. The young man in the picture is her son, Rolando Hernandez, who is already a citizen.
