Literacy Volunteers of the Lowcountry's funding resources include the United Way of Beaufort County (23%), private contributions (67%), government agencies (2%), fees and contracts (6%), and miscellaneous (2%). Under private contributions are special events which include the Friends of Literacy's "Cooks & Books" fundraiser and our annual community breakfasts.
