In 2006-2007, LVL enrolled 877 adults in its basic literacy and English for speakers of other languages programs at twelve sites in Beaufort and Jasper Counties. Over one hundred volunteer tutors, assisted by professional staff, helped 682 students improve their skills and become more self-sufficient, productive members of their families, the workforce, and the community.

Our students' successes were many:

- 23 entered employment
- 461 improved their employability skills
- 66 increased their involvement in their children's education
- 142 attained wellness and healthy lifestyles
- 90 attained consumer skills
- 2 obtained citizenship
- 461 achieved other personal goals
